I will be revealing what happens throughout the course of the film as I am simultaneously speaking about the soundtrack; so you might want to go watch it before reading these posts...

“Ready, Steady, Go!” is that lovable little tune from the “SHOPLIFTER!!!!” scene of the film, Empire Records. So basically after Lucas realizes that Warren is stealing CDs from the store, he takes it upon himself to perform theft prevention, but not before attempting to mess with Warren's mind first. It becomes obvious to the staff that Warren is an amateur thief as they see him enter the store again after being wildly pursued by Lucas.
I had honestly never heard of this band nor had I heard this song prior to viewing this film. It's a super-catchy tune, and I feel lucky that I had an opportunity to be exposed to it. I learned very early on in my musical pursuits that Indie films were an excellent source of rare musical finds!!
