Week Twenty-Four: First Concert Ever - The Bangles - "Walk Like An Egyptian" - Different Light

Week Twenty-Four marks the 24th anniversary of the first concert that I ever attended on October 14, 1988, at Texas Stadium in Irving, TX - The Bangles & George Michael -

At first, I hesitated to even post this tune because it is not one of my favorites. However, "Walk Like An Egyptian" is almost synonymous with The Bangles, and back in 1988 when I went to this concert, I loved this song!!

I remember when it came out on MTV, and I was so determined to learn all of the steps they did in their "Egyptian" dance.  I even wanted to dress up in Egyptian garb for Halloween that year, but I eventually decided upon a different costume.

At the concert, everyone was swinging their arms back and forth in that ridiculous dance move during this song, but it was kind of hard not to when Susanna and the other girls were fully encouraging us to do so!
