Week Twenty-Five: Pagan Rhythms/Cassingles - The Escape Club - "I'll Be There" - Single

Week Twenty-Five belongs to a super-cool vinyl/CD/cassette tape shop that was near the intersection of Lovers Lane & Greenville Avenue in Dallas, TX - called Pagan Rhythms - and their massive selection of used cassingles...

**The photos included in this week's posts are actual images of my cassingles**

My initial exposure to The Escape Club was through their tune, "Wild Wild West", which is about as kooky as they get (video included below the lyrics).  Therefore, when I began to hear the song, "I'll Be There," on the radio, I never put two and two together to realize that it was by the same band. Talk about the difference between night and day!!

I heard "Wild Wild West" so much on the radio and on MTV and on VH-1 that I didn't really feel the necessity to own it, but I sure did want a copy of "I'll Be There".  And that, my dear blogland friends, is where the cassingle came in very handy yet again.  When I saw the cassingle for "I'll Be There", I quickly snatched it up and added it to my collection.

Over Mountains
over Trees
over Oceans
over Seas
across the desert
I'll be there

in a whisper on the wind
on the smile of a new friend
just think of me
And I'll be there

Don't be afraid, oh my love
I'll be watching you from above
And I'd give all the world tonight,
to be with you
Cause I'm on your side,
And I still care
I may have died,
but I've gone nowhere

Just think of me,
And I'll be there

On the edge of a waking dream
over Rivers
over Streams
through Wind and Rain
I'll be there

Across the wide and open sky
thousands of miles I'd fly
to be with you
I'll be there

Don't be afraid, oh my love
I'll be watching you from above
And I'd give all the world tonight,
to be with you
Cause I'm on your side,
And I still care
I may have died,
but I've gone nowhere

Just think of me,
And I'll be there

In the breath of a wind that sighs
oh, there's no need to cry

Just think of me,
And I'll be there
