Week Ten: Depeche Mode - "Happiest Girl" - World in My Eyes Single

Today, I am, indeed, the "happiest girl" because in a few short hours, I am leaving for a road trip.  I will be gone for four glorious days.

In honor of my much-deserved trip to the beach, I was able to locate a youtube video for this tune that someone compiled using footage from the film, The Notorious Bettie Page.  Bettie Page has always reminded me of the beach.  So not only do you get to listen to a totally rockin' song; you also get to see images of the lovely Gretchen Mol doing her best Bettie rendition.

If you ever find yourself in a situation where you are told that you can only own one Depeche Mode single (or else), I would strongly suggest that it be this one, the "World in My Eyes" single, because not only does that tune completely rock, so does "Happiest Girl" (and the additional B-side that I will be writing about tomorrow - yes, I am providing you a sneak preview, my dears - I told you I was in a good mood!!!)
