So back in 1997, when I found out that My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult was stopping by Liberty Lunch in Austin, TX, I thought to myself one thing... "ROAD TRIP!!!!"  I gathered up my two closest friends, and we drove straight down to Austin to see them live.

From listening to their music, I was expecting them to be super-scary looking, but they were kind of dorks!  There was such an odd mix of individuals in the crowd that evening, as well.  I wouldn't say that I was disappointed by their performance, but it wasn't at all what I was expecting!  It was just very tame and simple.  I was at least thinking that there would be minimal craziness on-stage that night --- all I got was minor theatrics in the form of women dressed in the equivalent of Las Vegas showgirl garb.
