Week Twenty-Nine: Jane's Addiction - "Jane Says" - Kettle Whistle Version

Week Twenty-Nine marks the fifteenth anniversary of my first, and only, time to see Jane's Addiction in concert at the Fair Park Coliseum on November 18, 1997 - sorry it's so difficult to see the ticket stub; it faded like crazy... I am also going throw in some Porno for Pyros this week since that was one of Perry's other noble efforts:

Since Kettle Whistle was the album for which Jane's Addiction was touring back in 1997, I chose that version of this tune. Additionally, I was the assistant manager of the coffee shop, called Torrefazione Italia at the time, that sat inside the Virgin Megastore at Grapevine Mills Mall, and this was one of the videos that was on the video loop inside the Virgin Megastore in November of 1997.

Most people already know this, but some may not... there really was a Jane with a heroin addiction upon whom the name of the band was based. Her name is Jane Bainter, and she lived in a house with Perry for a bit. Apparently, everyone was always complaining about Jane's addiction, and from there, the band was born.

According to an interview I once read that was given by Jane to The Washington Post, she did eventually kick her habit... and she even finally made it to Spain!! :-D
