Week Eight: 1960s Girl Groups - The Exciters - "Tell Him" - The Best of the Girl Groups, Vol. 2

Now, my dear blogland readers, you are going to have to really work with me on this one because, yes, I realize that there is a guy in this group and in the video below.  However, The Exciters did start out exclusively as a Girl Group, until Brenda, the lead singer, married Herb, who then joined the band.

If you have never heard this song, you are in for a real treat!  Brenda has a phenomenal voice, one of the loveliest and most powerful voices that I have ever heard.  Plus, the video is filmed at the zoo, and it doesn't get much cooler than singing to the animals at the zoo.

The Exciters have a few more hits, but in my humble opinion, none of them even make it into the same realm of awesomeness where this tune resides; however, again, that is just my opinion.
