Week Sixty-Eight: The Dandy Warhols - "Bohemian Like You" - Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia

This week, I am going to cover songs by the bands, Curve and The Dandy Warhols, both of whom I saw play live at The Galaxy Club back in July of 1998

You may recall, from my Love & Rockets week, that the first time I saw The Dandy Warhols was when they opened for Love & Rockets at Trees back in 1996. At that time, they did not have any major hits, and I was not sure what to even expect because I do not remember hearing anything of theirs played on the airwaves. I was super-intrigued by their name though.

I do remember that they had an incredibly intense stage presence, and the lead singer, Courtney, was insanely hot, with that handsomely-chiseled face...oh, be still my 18-year-old heart!!!

It wasn't until about a year later, with the release of ...The Dandy Warhols Come Down, that they finally scored some radio hits with "Boys Better" and "Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth". I don't recall how widely popular those tunes were, but I do at least know that Josh, from The Adventure Club on The EDGE, was playing them on his show.

So, in addition to "Bohemian Like You", I will also include the two other tunes that I mentioned today, as well...
