Week Sixty-One: Tears For Fears - "Pale Shelter" - Tears Roll Down (Greatest Hits 82-92)

For Week Sixty-One, I am going to tell you about the three songs on my Tears For Fears VHS tape pictured below, and then I will select one or two other tunes by them to close out the week:

Even though it's not the first song on the tape, I am still going to begin this week with "Pale Shelter" because it is my favorite. Not many people remember this place, but around 1996 or 1997, there was a "goth" club in Dallas on Saturday nights called The Lighthouse. The reason I have goth in quotes is because, even though the same crowd who attended The Church at The Lizard Lounge also attended The Lighthouse, the music selections were more varied.

I only went to The Lighthouse two or three times tops, but every time I was there, I remember hearing "Pale Shelter". This is such a lovely song, and it was definitely one that I loved to dance to because it gave me a chance to catch my breath between all of the tunes with quicker beats!!!
