Week Sixty-Four: ??????? - Better Than Ezra - "Good" - Deluxe

I've been wanting to post about this week's songs for some time now, but I could never come up with a theme in order to include them. So this week, I am going theme-less, but I will offer you four really great random songs (and hopefully really great tales to accompany them)!!!

Better Than Ezra kind of fell into the same realm as Deep Blue Something for me. Back in 1995, if you recall from previous posts, I was super-uber-goth, and Better Than Ezra was anything but goth. So even though I really, really liked this song, I would have never admitted it to anyone at that time. So, again, my apologies to Better Than Ezra for not giving them the full-fledged support they deserved back in 1995. I will include another hit that I also really like called "Desperately Wanting"...

Looking around the house.
Hidden behind the window and the door.
Searching for signs of life but there's nobody home.

Well, maybe I'm just too sure.
Maybe I'm just too frightened
by the sound of it.
Pieces of note fall down, but the letter said,

[CHORUS:]
Aha, it was good living with you.
Aha, it was good.
Aha, it was good living with you.
Aha, it was good.

Sitting around the house,
watching the sun trace shadows on the floor.
Searching for signs of life, but there's nobody home.

Well, maybe I'll call
or write you a letter.
Now, maybe we'll see on the Fourth of July.
But I'm not too sure, and I'm not too proud.
Well, I'm not too sure and I'm not too proud to say.

[CHORUS:]
Aha, it was good living with you.
Aha, it was good.
Aha, it was good living with you.
Aha, it was good.

[spoken:]

Yeah, you were so good.yeah you were so good, yeah that's right...
