Week Sixty-Five: Pandora Picks - Peter Bjorn and John - "Young Folks" - Writer's Block

The songs that I have selected for this week were Pandora suggestions based on my She & Him station...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I seriously doubt that I am alone in my admission that I really like whistling songs; so when this little whistling ditty popped up on my Pandora station, I immediately gave it a thumbs up. I didn't know anything at all about this band, and that lead me to some Wiki research, where I found a fun fact about the band's name:
"Peter Bjorn and John (unofficially abbreviated as PB&J) are a Swedish Indie pop band, formed in Stockholm in 1999 and named after the first names of the band's members: Peter Morén (vocals, guitar and harmonica), Björn Yttling (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals) and John Eriksson..."
I'm not sure if I have already mentioned this, but the 8th grade novel that I taught (for nine years in a row) was The Outsiders, which I still, to this very day, absolutely adore!!! So how it ties into the band's name, or rather their unofficial abbreviation, is that when I would give my students their notes or quiz them or test them over the material, I would allow them to abbreviate any references to Ponyboy and Johnny as PB&J. They thought it was so clever and completely loved and over-used it!!!
Two other whistling tunes that I also really like are "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People and "5 Years Time" by Noah and the Whale, which are included below the lyrics...
If I told you things I did before, told you how I used to be
Would you go along with someone like me
If you knew my story word for word, had all of my history
Would you go along with someone like me
I did before and had my share, it didn't lead nowhere
I would go along with someone like you
It doesn't matter what you did, who you were hanging with
We could stick around and see this night through
And we don't care about the young folks
Talking 'bout the young style
And we don't care about the old folks
Talking 'bout the old style too
And we don't care about our own faults
Talking 'bout our own style
All we care about is talking
Talking only me and you
Usually when things has gone this far, people tend to disappear
No one will surprise me unless you do
I can tell there's something goin' on, hours seems to disappear
Everyone is leaving, I'm still with you
It doesn't matter what we do, where we are going to
We can stick around and see this night through
And we don't care about the young folks
Talking 'bout the young style
And we don't care about the old folks
Talking 'bout the old style too
And we don't care about our own faults
Talking 'bout our own style
All we care about is talking
Talking only me and you
And we don't care about the young folks
Talking 'bout the young style
And we don't care about the old folks
Talking 'bout the old style too
And we don't care about their own faults
Talking 'bout our own style
All we care about is talking
Talking only me and you
Talking only me and you
Talking only me and you
Talking only me and you
