Week Eighty-Eight: iPod Picks - Part Trois - Pop Poppins - "Be Patient" - Delight in Disorder

Surprisingly, my beloved and trusty little iPod has made it another six months, according to when I last allowed it to make the song selections, which was back in June of 2013. I did have to dump a few extra songs off of it, in order to get it back to a functioning level, but it still has over 4000 from which to select. So this week's picks will once again be made by my iPod while in *shuffle mode*

A few Fridays ago, I had a friend over, and as he was browsing through my music files and came upon Pop Poppins, he said their name aloud. Pop Poppins rarely ever shows up in *shuffle mode*, so I had kind of forgotten about them until he mentioned them. Then interestingly enough, this song, "Be Patient", was selected by my iPod to share with you this week.

Pop Poppins was a Texas-based band. Although they recorded and mixed in Dallas studios, their information address on their liner notes for the CD is located in Saginaw, Texas. Additionally, I think it is super-rad that on the liner notes, they thank two of my favorite DJs of all time: "George Gimarc and Alex Luke of KDGE radio"...

I'll also include another favorite called "On A Moving Train"...

Before I give you my patience,
Before I give you my body,
Come and take away my hate,
Come and help me relate.

I want you to come back tonight, and always be mine.
I want you to come tonight, and let me be.
(Be Patient)

Before I give me unto you,
Before I give you my soul.
I need to know about my life,
And where and why I am.

I want you to come back tonight, and always be mine.
I want you to come tonight, and let me be.
(Be Patient)

I will give you my patience.
I will give you my soul.
Come and take away my hate,
Come and help me relate.

I want you to come back tonight, and always be mine.
I want you to come tonight, and let me be.
(Be Patient)

Please be patient.
