Week Ninety-Two: Triple Takes - Animotion / Xymox / Siouxsie and the Banshees - "Obsession" - Animotion / Twist of Shadows / A Kiss in the Dreamhouse

This week, I will be covering songs, by different artists, that share the same title, better known by moi as "Double Takes".

So, yes, both today and tomorrow will actually be "Triple Takes", not "Double Takes", because some titles have been used by multiple artists. I'll start with Animotion, whom I have been wanting to post about for quite some time, but I have not been able to work them in...until now. Something that I learned on Wikipedia was that this song is not actually theirs; it's a cover...who knew????

So in an effort to continue to remain true to the original artists, I will post the Knight/Des Barres version below Animotion's version.

Moving right along, Xymox (aka Clan of Xymox) has a tune called "Obsession", which is often overlooked, but is fantastic nonetheless. You may remember me posting about Xymox during Synthpop - Part Deux Week. I had mentioned that they would be stopping by Houston, TX, on October 26th of last year. Sadly, I did not get to make it out to the show, but I'm pleased as can be that I get to share another tune of theirs with you today!

Finally, Siouxsie and the Banshees also have a song called "Obsession". If you have not already determined from all of my SATB posts that this is my all-time favorite band, then you obviously made very low scores on your deductive-reasoning skills portions of your standardized tests because I have made that point quite clear thus far!!! :-D
