Week Forty: Girls that Rock! - Transvision Vamp - "(I Just Wanna) B with U" - Little Magnets Versus the Bubble of Babble

So, as I was browsing through my post history, I noticed that
I have been neglecting the ladies a bit on my blog... as a result, I
am dedicating Week Forty to Girls that Rock! - or female-fronted bands!!!

Holy smokes!!! I always forget how amazingly super-cute Wendy James, the lead singer of Transvision Vamp, really is until I watch the video for this song, and that's saying a whole lot since I don't really care much for blondes!!!

I remember picking up the cassette, Little Magnets Versus the Bubble of Babble, one day when I was looking through the selection at Pagan Rhythms. I had heard the name Transvision Vamp before, and I thought the cassette title was intriguing. I did not know, however, that Transvision Vamp was the band that sang this particular song; so you can imagine my pleasant surprise when I popped the cassette into the tape deck of my Hyundai Excel and heard this song pumping out of the speakers!!!

Another song on the album that I really like is "If Looks Could Kill" (video included below the lyrics). And an interesting fact about this band is that the bass player, Dave Parsons, went on to join another little band fronted by Gavin Rossdale --- you might also know them as... Bush! ;-)

You're mine, you're mine, the stars told me
You're mine, you're mine, it's your destiny
It's true, it's true, it was meant to be
It's true, it's true, it's your destiny

And in your mind, your heart is free
And in your heart, your mind is free
And you've got everything that you need to be
To be what you wanna be

(I just wanna) B with U
(I just wanna) B with U
(I just wanna) B with U
Ah Baby that's all

You're mine, you're mine, the stars told me
You're mine, you're mine, it's your destiny
And for your world my love is free
There's nothing here holding me
'Cept this feeling deep on down, down, down

(I just wanna) B with U
(I just wanna) B with U
(I just wanna) B with U
Ah Baby that's all

Well the authorities have got their problems
I always try to be one of them
And I think I'd be happy to be bad
If you said I was good at it

Please baby, please baby tell me
Was I good at it?

(I just wanna) B with U
(I just wanna) B with U
that's all

Please baby, please baby
You know what I mean

You're mine, you're mine
Ooh baby the stars told me
