Week Seventy-Nine: Sunday Songs - The Bolshoi - "Sunday Morning" - Friends

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this or not, but I typically compose my posts for the entire week on Sunday, and then I update each daily post as events unfold in my life. I was having a bit of a difficult time coming up with a theme for this week; so since we technically got an extra hour on Sunday, 11/3, I figured I would do a Sunday celebration and cover songs that have Sunday in the title

S*U*N*D*A*Y*F*U*N*D*A*Y*S*U*N*D*A*Y*F*U*N*D*A*Y

The Bolshoi reminds me of my best friend in college, Jason. He listened to The Bolshoi all the time, and his favorite song was "Happy Boy". He said it reminded him of finally coming out to his family and friends. I always thought "Happy Boy" was a bit of a creepy song, but I really liked this song, "Sunday Morning", as well as "Away"... So I would always indulge his desire to listen this band.

Every good Retro/Goth club would spin "Away", and it's a great dance tune! I need to go out dancing soon... it's been waaaaaaay tooooooooo looooooong!!!

I remember when I was young
Feeling sick on Sunday morning
I don't want to do it anymore

Standing in a line with a dirty mind
Clean it up on Sunday morning
I don't want to do it anymore

One day a week we turn the cheek [Repeat x2]
Oh, how we'd kneel down
Oh, we were so quiet
Never any light there
I don't care, it's not right there

Get up early, do your hair
Sunday best on Sunday morning
I don't want to see it anymore

Tea and toast in the social hall
We had it all on Sunday morning
I don't want to see it anymore

We come in fear , to worship here (x2)
(CHORUS)
It's wrong to feel, It's wrong to care
You must not steal, you must not swear

(CHORUS)
I don't want to do it anymore
I don't want to see it anymore
