Week Fifty-Seven: Adam Ant - "Friend or Foe" - Friend or Foe

I am so excited that I am practically bursting with fruit flavor because I get to start tap dancing again tomorrow night. To celebrate this fantabulous occasion, I have selected Adam Ant as my Week Fifty-Seven artist because there is no one else who makes me want to tippity-tap around the house more than Adam Ant.

In fact, there is a super-awesome tap sequence in today's video!!! I will also include a second YouTube clip that someone created with Fred Astaire dancing to Adam Ant's tune, "Place in the Country".

I am also including some photos of my Adam Ant Friend or Foe album. The inside sleeve has some incredible snapshots, and it has the lyrics... additionally, Siouxsie week segues nicely into Adam Ant week because Marco Pirroni worked very closely with both Siouxsie and Adam Ant...

Take it up or leave it
I'm not gonna change a bit
If it means heartache
Then leave it out for your sake
I tried and I try tried
To take care of my insides
Nobody's perfect so leave me if you object

I want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemies....

When you're a pirouetting, highkicking
Thighslapping cruiser
When you're a hipgrinding spellbinding
Clean cut seducer
You have to be careful so people take note
I take it serious, but I still like a joke

I want those who get to know me
To become admirers or my enemies

Keep your philosophy
It doesn't apply to me
If it means heartache
Then leave it out for your sake
I tried and I try tried
But still you say that I lied
Nobody's perfect so leave me if you object
