Week Fifty-Eight: Guilty Pleasures - Chumbawamba - "Tubthumping" - Tubthumper

Since I have spent a great deal of time this past year attempting to impress you with my musical selections and memorabilia, this week I am going to introduce you to my guilty pleasures. These are songs that may leave you scratching your head and asking: "She likes whaaaat?!?!?" I just hope you will still be able to respect me in the morning!!! :-D

Also, I will have to pull all band info from Wikipedia because I don't know much about any of these artists, other than the fact that I like these somewhat goofy songs!!!

I must give you a fair warning that this is one of those songs that will get stuck in your head... and won't go away! This video was in the loop when I was working at the coffee shop at the Virgin Megastore at Grapevine Mills Mall back in 1997. I swore that I would rather gouge my own eyes out with plastic spoons than to ever have to hear this song again, but now it puts a smile on my face...

The song also claimed the top spot in Australia, Italy and on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart."

And just to show you how much the Virgin Megastore loved to irritate me with their video loops, I'll share with you that, at some point within the year I worked at that coffee shop, they thought it would be a fabulous idea to resurrect the video for OMC's song, "How Bizarre"; so, yes, I'll include that one below the lyrics for you because it has now turned into another guilty pleasure of mine!!!
